I was tasked with designing a book cover for an author’s fantasy story revolving around the nine-tailed fox in Japanese mythology. The cover’s focal points were the nine-tailed fox and the moon, crucial elements of the story.

Drawing inspiration from Japanese calligraphy brushstrokes, I crafted the fox wrapped around the moon using swift, artistic brush techniques. This design aimed to maintain the fox’s distinct form and tails while evoking the essence of Japanese calligraphy, aligning with the story’s core themes.
